The Monthly Block - Nov 2025

  • Strategic partnership with Fireblocks to expand regulated custody in APAC and Middle East
  • Debut member of WalletConnect Institutional Certified program
  • Officially joined Web3 Harbour to collaborate on Hong Kong's regulatory framework
  • Executives defined market volatility as a crucial "liquidity reset," not a loss of conviction
  • Leaders architected the future of payments and operational rigour across six industry panels

November was a period of sustained strategic growth for Hex Trust as we continued to architect the institutional infrastructure required for global digital finance. We decisively strengthened our regulated custody offering by forming a partnership with Fireblocks, becoming a key Qualified Custodian in their network to serve the APAC and Middle East regions. Further setting the standard for operational excellence, we were a debut member of the WalletConnect Institutional Certified program. We also reinforced our commitment to governance in Hong Kong by officially joining Web3 Harbour to collaborate with policymakers and licensed peers.

In the media, our leaders structured the market narrative, with Alessio Quaglini and Rohit Apte asserting that recent volatility was a necessary "liquidity reset" driven by deleveraging, not a fundamental loss of conviction. Across six key industry panels, our executives governed critical discussions on technology-neutral law, the role of the custodian as the critical agent for operational rigour, and how stablecoins are decisively transforming global payments, achieving five decades of Visa’s volume in under six years. We concluded the month by co-hosting an event with Fireblocks and Bullish during Hong Kong FinTech Week, affirming that the next chapter of finance is being defined by the digitalisation of capital markets.

In the Media

Rohit Apte on Coindesk

Our Head of Markets, Rohit Apte, provided crucial insight to CoinDesk on the recent market volatility, structuring it as a liquidity test, not a loss of belief. Rohit confirmed that the recent market action reflects a structural deleveraging that began last month, meaning price consolidation is required before sustainable rotation can begin. For institutional clients, this is a moment of resilience, with the market requiring stabilisation before a rotation into altcoins can be defined. Hex Trust maintains that establishing price consolidation is required for a sustainable recovery.

Alessio Quaglini on CNBC

Our CEO and Co-founder, Alessio Quaglini, spoke with CNBC, cutting through the market noise by defining the recent sell-off as a liquidity reset driven by structural deleveraging, which is crucial for institutional strategic planning. Alessio asserted that this market action does not signify a fundamental loss of conviction in digital assets. This distinction helps shape the view that the market is undergoing a necessary technical correction, not a structural failure in the underlying asset class.

CoinDesk Exchange Benchmark Report Now Live

Hex Trust supported the launch of the CoinDesk November 2025 Exchange Benchmark Report, a definitive bi-annual resource that sets the standard for assessing exchange risk, transparency, and due diligence across the industry. We confirm that supporting this essential effort is critical for elevating security standards across the digital asset exchange landscape. Reports like this define the independent data and transparency that institutions require to govern their allocations and navigate the market safely and compliantly.

Panels

Panel at KPMG China's event "Digital Assets in APAC: Policy, Market Dynamics and Institutional Adoption"

Our COO, James Harte, joined industry leaders at the KPMG Crypto - Future Forward event to define the blueprint for mass adoption. The panel asserted that the acceleration of digital asset products by traditional banks and brokerages is now non-negotiable, but it is entirely dependent on strategic partnerships with crypto-native companies to bridge the operational divide. James affirmed that Hex Trust is architecting the credible, secure, and regulated infrastructure that sets the standard for this mainstream institutional participation.

Panel at HashKey Capital’s “Capital Next: Private Seminar on Crypto Investment”

Our CEO and Co-founder, Alessio Quaglini, governed the conversation at the HashKey Capital Private Seminar, asserting that operational standards for fund managers are being decisively ratcheted up by institutional demand. He declared the custodian to be the critical agent that ensures this uniform, high global baseline for client protection and verification remains non-negotiable, regardless of jurisdictional focus. Hex Trust is committed to architecting this operational framework, thereby setting the standard for secure, institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure globally.

Panel on “The Evolution of the Custodian Practice in the Institutional Era” at Hong Kong Fintech Week

At Hong Kong FinTech Week 2025, our CEO, Alessio Quaglini, asserted that the evolution of institutional custody requires a fundamental structural shift, joining thought leaders from Citi, Standard Chartered, and Zodia Custody to define the paradigm foundation. Alessio declared that the future must be unified, moving away from fragmented traditional markets toward a single, open-source operating system. This programmable, 24/7 infrastructure, enabled by blockchain, is what will govern the next financial advancement. Hex Trust is committed to architecting this decisive standard for institutional digital asset adoption.

Keynote at La French Tech Breakfast Event

Our CEO, Alessio Quaglini, delivered a keynote at the La French Tech Breakfast Event, asserting that the speed of value movement is the new institutional imperative. He firmly declared that stablecoins define the new standard, challenging legacy payments with a volume that achieved in under six years what took Visa approximately five decades. Alessio confirmed this seismic shift transforms correspondent banking into an open-source, programmable, 24/7 infrastructure with instant finality. Hex Trust is architecting the regulatory and security framework required to govern this adoption for institutions.

Panel on “Securing Digital Assets: Trust in Custody Solutions” at Web 3 Trust Summit

Our CPO & Head of Custody, Giorgia Pellizzari, joined industry leaders at the Web3 Trust Summit to define the institutional baseline for security. Giorgia asserted that securing digital assets requires a transition from perceived safety to verifiable, regulated trust. She declared that trust is not subjective; it is an architected process, and the qualified custodian is the essential layer that ensures institutional adoption. This layer sets the standard by providing audited security protocols, multi-jurisdictional compliance, and operational segregation.

Panel at LexisNexis 6th In-House Legal and Compliance Conference

Our Head of Legal and Compliance, Federico Fabiano, governed the discussion at the LexisNexis Conference, isolating the challenge of cross-border divergence as the primary threat to global oversight. Federico asserted that regulatory arbitrage is a direct result of fragmented national rules. To transform the legal landscape, regulators must abandon outdated hardware rules and shape durable, technology-neutral laws. He declared that compliance is the indispensable function that builds trust and is the commitment required to architect regulatory stability in this frontier.
