In the Media

Alessio Quaglini on Benzinga

In an interview with Benzinga, our CEO and Co-founder, Alessio Quaglini, stated that regulatory clarity in the U.S. will unlock the next global wave of institutional crypto adoption. He predicted that within months, banks in the U.S. will provide custody services for bitcoin, enabling true mainstream adoption through offerings like deposits, trading, and structured products. Alessio also noted that stablecoins will be just as transformative, predicting they will replace the SWIFT system for cross-border transfers due to their speed, low cost, and programmability.

Giorgia Pellizzari on China's RWA Guidance in Decrypt

Our Head of Custody, Giorgia Pellizzari, provided essential macro insights to Decrypt regarding guidance from China to pause RWA tokenisation efforts in Hong Kong. Giorgia clarified that this is a cautious, coordinated move—not a reversal of progress—that highlights the need for clear, coordinated regulatory frameworks. She underscored that Hong Kong's ambition as a digital asset hub remains firmly on course, backed by steady regulatory progress.

Alessio Quaglini Highlights Compliance on TVB Pearl Magazine

Our CEO, Alessio Quaglini, appeared on TVB Pearl Magazine, highlighting Hex Trust’s role in shaping the transformation of finance. He stressed that institutions require more than just custody—governance, compliance, and integrated reward services are critical for mass adoption. Alessio pointed to Hong Kong’s clear framework for ETFs, stablecoins, and Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) as key accelerants for Asia’s regulated Web3 growth.

Charmaine Tam Discusses DATs and Controls in Decrypt

Our Head of OTC, Charmaine Tam, was featured in Decrypt, offering insights into Hong Kong’s rapidly evolving digital asset landscape and the emergence of structured fund models like Digital Asset Treasuries (DATs). Charmaine emphasised that such models demand strong operational controls, specifically calling for independent governance, clear custody, and fully transparent operations to ensure investor protection and market trust.

Panels

Fireside Chat on Institutional Adoption of Stablecoins (Solana Stable Future)

Alessio Quaglini moderated a fireside chat with Sam MacPherson (CEO & Co-founder, Phoenix Labs) at Solana Stable Future on "Institutional Adoption of Stablecoins, and Why This Matters.” Key themes included the shift from rewards experiments to scalable, auditable infrastructure. Stablecoins are actively redefining treasury and cross-border settlement, with regulatory clarity and bank integration being the most critical accelerants. The consensus was that USD-based stablecoins will continue to lead, alongside increasing demand for locally issued stablecoins in markets such as Korea.

Institutional Yield Management (Korea Blockchain Week 2025)

At Korea Blockchain Week 2025, Alessio Quaglini joined a panel on “Institutional Yield Management.” The discussion highlighted how both DeFi lending and ETH staking now offer competitive returns, shifting the institutional focus from credit risk to technological risk. The panellists underscored that qualified custodians like Hex Trust are the necessary bridge for institutional comfort, especially with the rise of tokenised RWA and BTCFi transforming digital assets into productive capital.

Stablecoins Under Hong Kong's New Regulatory Framework (XRP Seoul 2025)

Our CEO and Co-founder, Alessio Quaglini, joined industry leaders at XRP Seoul 2025 to discuss the future of stablecoins. The key takeaway was that licensed custody is the backbone of compliance, ensuring essential segregation, reconciliation, and redemption protections. With Hong Kong’s new Stablecoin Ordinance and Europe’s MiCA now live, a clear global divide is forming between compliant versus non-compliant stablecoins, with custody providers playing a pivotal role in guiding institutional capital.
